Accountability

Decided that a great way to stay focused on this year's gardening-prepping, planting, maintaining, fertilizing, composting, harvesting and best of all, eating, would be to create a blog. I've got over 300 plant seedlings in the garage right now that are ready for the next step. I only have a small tract house garden border to put them in: this means I will be giving away several plants! So far the seedlings include cardoon, Scottish leeks, Rosa Bianca eggplant, purple and canary yellow bell peppers, Hippy Zebra, Roma, Arkansas Traveler, Yellow Perfection and Brandywine Heirloom tomatoes, Charentais melon, sweet baby watermelon, Jack O'Lantern pumpkin, lemon and Spacesaver cukes. In the garden so far are Cut and Come Again (no comments from the peanut gallery please) mesclun lettuce, Bright Lights chard, french fingerling potatoes, Cilantro, Freckles lettuce, sunflowers and flax. These are in addition to my fruit trees: Bosc pear, Santa Rosa plum, peach, Asian pear, French prune, Champagne fig, Blandheim aprioct, Bresse lime, Eureka lemon, Moro blood orange, fuji apple, Kaffir lime, grape vines, Bing and Tartarian cherries and another plum.
Today will involve potting up some of the seedlings to the "next level". Pictures to come!
